FAQ’S

WHO PAYS FOR THE REPAIR OF MY VEHICLE? If you caused the damage to your vehicle and you have comprehensive and or collision coverage, then your insurance company pays for the repairs, less your deductible. It is your responsibility to pay the deductible amount directly to the body shop upon completion of repairs. If the damage to your vehicle was caused by the error or negligence of someone else, then their insurance company is responsible for paying the full amount of the repair cost. In this case you will not have to pay a deductible. DO I HAVE TO USE A REPAIR SHOP ON MY INSURANCE COMPANY’S LIST? No, the body shop who does the repair is entirely your decision. An insurance company can make a recommendation, but they cannot require you to take your vehicle to a facility of their choosing. DO I NEED TO GET THREE ESTIMATES? No, there is no law that requires you to obtain three estimates. You have the right to have your vehicle repaired at the facility of your choice. Never get and turn in an estimate from any collision repair facility that you would not want to repair your vehicle. WHAT IF ANOTHER BODY SHOP OR THE INSURANCE COMPANY PROVIDES AN ESTIMATE THAT IS DIFFERENT FROM OURS? Differences in repair estimates are common. Some repair operations are based on the appraiser’s judgment and may vary. A difference in the collision estimating software used by the insurance company or another shop may also result in variations. We will work with the insurance company to iron out any differences in the estimate. Often this is a result of their estimator missing something that we catch because of our years of experience.
